“RaceRunner raises money for kids” – Winnipeg Free Press

RaceRunner is a racing app that allows runners to race against each other even if they aren’t in the same city or time zone. The app was developed at the North Forge Technology Exchange by Buddhika Madduma, originally from Sri Lanka, who moved to Winnipeg in 2009.

The first Twin City Race, a five-kilometre run featuring runners from Winnipeg and Colombo, was held on March 17. RaceRunner founder Madduma and marketing director Othniel Harris later presented the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba with the proceeds.
